FAQs Enhanced Rider Scheme (ERS).
What is Advanced Training?
Advanced Motorcycle Training is about improving your skills to a higher
level than where they are today. Teaching you how to ride by a
'System' that has been used by Police Forces throughout the U.K. for
years, and which has been proven to be the safest. Improving your Observations,
Positioning, Cornering Techniques and general machine handling thus
making you a better, safer rider.
What Will it do For Me?
Advanced Riding will make you more aware of what is happening around
you. Your hazard assessment and management will improve, your observations
will improve, your awareness will improve, in fact your whole riding
will improve. You will be a better, safer rider.
What do I Need?
All you need is a Full Motorcycle Licence, a Motorcycle that is fully
documented (insured etc.) and the will to learn.
How Long Does it Take?
Advanced Courses are as long
as you want them to be. Obviously, the longer your course, the more
you will learn and the better rider you become. It is entirely up to
you, you can book one, two or three days.
Do I Have to Take a Test?
You do not have to take a test after your course. There are options
open to you if you wish to take them. We have our own set up whereby
you can get an ERS certificate, or you can go for the Institute of Advanced
Motorists or RoSPA advanced motorcycle tests, this is entirely
up to yourself and of course, at your own expense.
Who Teaches Me?
Our Instructors are very highly qualified riders. By keeping to this
high standard, we know you will get the very best Instruction.
How Much Does it Cost?
The cost of a course starts at £100:00 per day on a one to one basis.
We also do an hourly rate at a minimum of two hour sessions at £20:00
per hour
What do I Get Out of It?
You will get the pleasure of being confident in yourself, confident
in your riding abilities and also, you will be a safer rider.
Where Do I Have to Go?
Our courses are based in the North Yorkshire Area. If you are travelling
to us from out of town, then we can fix you up with a hotel, bed and
breakfast or whatever, but this is at your own expense of course.
How Fast Do You Go?
We try to abide by the rules of the road, and all speed limits
are adhered to.
